North Central High School Cafeteria Expansion

Prior to this construction project, the North Central High School cafeteria was a small, dark underground space that wasn’t large enough for all students to gather in. Connectivity between the new addition and existing school was broken by an underground gymnasium and an outdoor plaza. Graham was tasked with creating an environment where the students could come together.

The build included a large, bright, 32,000 sq. ft. two-story cafeteria and commons including learning spaces, new kitchen, multiple skybridges and a new concession stand. This project was unique due to the logistics of working in an active educational environment between two buildings and overtop of an occupied gymnasium.
