Swinerton Builders commissioned photography of the new Gamma Knife at Spokane’s Sacred Heart Medical Center. This was a major construction feat to get the large Elekta Esprit Stereotactic Radiosurgery Gamma Knife Machine into the building and required cutting the huge concrete walls to make room for the device. The designers opted to leave the polished concrete intact for both aesthetic reasons, and as a reminder of the amazing feat of engineering required to install the machine.
