The China Bend Winery is located next to the Columbia river (Lake Roosevelt) about 30 miles north of Kettle Falls WA. It is an impressive property with acres of mature 30 year old grape vines, a walking trail down to the river, a Bed and Breakfast on site, and a great looking tasting room. You can even bring your boat or kayak to the winery and dock at the bottom of the trail. They have won so many awards at wine competitions that they stopped putting up the new ones since they won’t fit on their award shelf anymore. Their wines are made from their own hand picked grapes with no pesticides and set to age in white oak barrels for many years. Most of the wines for sale are from 2007-2008 and from what I hear, they are amazingly good. (Buy online)
