“Keep Portland Weird”
While on a photo project for a client, I had the opportunity to stop by the downtown area and photograph a street fair just for fun. This was my first attempt at street photography and I have to say, it is a lot of fun. Portland certainly has a lot of interesting subjects that make for great photographs. My favorite characters were the blue hippie and the silver statue guy. When you gave the statue a dollar he would juggle for a few minutes and then go back to being completely motionless. He’s quite talented to be able to stand there for hours at a time entertaining the public. There were various bands and musicians playing, as well as artists and shops offering various items for sale.
